Strata

FAQ

Answers to common questions about installing, updating, customizing, and getting help with Strata.

How do I add Strata to my store?

Add Strata from the Shopify Theme Store. Shopify places it under Draft themes, so you can set it up and preview it before publishing. See Getting started.

How do I update Strata?

When a new version is available, Shopify shows it in Online Store → Themes. Shopify carries over your Theme Editor settings and content, and custom code that does not conflict with the update. Review the updated theme before publishing; some code changes may need to be reapplied. See Theme versions and the changelog.

Can I edit Strata's code?

Yes. Duplicate Strata first: in Online Store → Themes, open the … menu next to Strata and select Duplicate, then edit and preview the copy. Custom code is outside standard theme support; for custom design or development work, use a qualified Shopify Partner. See Support policy.

Where do I change colors, fonts, and buttons?

In the Theme Editor, open Theme settings. Colors covers text, background, and button colors; Typography covers fonts; Appearance and spacing covers button style, corners, and spacing. These settings apply across the whole store. See Theme settings.

Can I use apps with Strata?

Yes. Apps that provide app blocks can be added in the Product page and Featured product sections, and app embeds are turned on in the Theme Editor under App embeds. The app developer supports the app's own features and settings.

Something looks wrong. What should I check first?

Check whether the issue also appears in an unmodified copy of Strata with apps turned off, then see Troubleshooting.

How do I get help?

Use the support form. We aim to reply within two business days. Include your store URL, the Strata version, and the steps that show the problem.
