Troubleshooting

Diagnose common Strata setup and storefront issues.

Start with these checks when a saved change does not appear or a page looks different from the Theme Editor preview.

First checks

Rule out the common causes
Follow the checks in order and stop when the expected result returns.
  1. Confirm the theme and templateMake sure you edited the same theme and template that you are viewing.
  2. Save and reloadSave the Theme Editor, then reload the storefront in a private browser window.
  3. Check visibilityConfirm the affected section or block is not hidden in the Theme Editor. Some settings only appear, or only take effect, when a related setting is on; check the section's guide for those dependencies.
  4. Isolate recent app changesTest without a recently installed app embed when it changes the same part of the page.
  5. Confirm the required Shopify dataCheck that the product, collection, menu, market, or metafield data required by the section exists.
