How Strata settings work together

Global and local controls can form one decision

A Theme setting can act as a master control while a section decides whether to use the feature locally. Transparent Header and parallax are examples: enabling only one side is not enough. The linked canonical guide shows where each control lives.

Shopify data decides what can appear

Some theme settings present data rather than create it. Collection filters need Shopify filter definitions and matching product data, ratings need the standard product-rating metafield, and payment or localization controls need the corresponding Shopify configuration.

Desktop and mobile can use different paths

Do not assume that the same control opens the same interface at every width. Product-card quick buy, Header navigation, Search, media crops, and some overlay routes deliberately adapt to the available space.

Accessibility preferences take priority over decoration

The theme's Reduce animation setting and an operating-system reduced-motion preference can suppress autoplay, parallax, reveal, or transition treatments. The content and controls should remain available without the decorative motion.
